LIVE CAMPAIGN
CORNWALL COUNCIL / SAFER CORNWALL
The brief was to educate teenagers on the dangers of unhealthy relationships. After doing in-person research sessions with students at Truro College, I realised that they did know about unhealthy relationships, but the real danger was they weren't talking about them. Whether it's a fear of being judged or being seen as judging, friends saw the issues but didn't want to speak up.

My campaign aims to solve this and generate conversation, through 3D signage across Truro College's expansive campus. Alongside the signs, there is a variety of different other elements, including lanyard cards, posters and animations.

From my research I identified the ten key signs for an unhealthy relationship that most apply to the students at Truro College. These were:
- Control
- Dependence
- Dishonesty
- Emotional
- Guilting
- Hostility
- Intimidation
- Isolation
- Manipulation
- Violence

The good news from this campaign is it has already proven to be effective, with numerous reports and students reaching out for support from the college.

This campaign was also selected as the name for a conference from Safer Cornwall, that took place in Wadebridge, Cornwall, on the 11th of October. This was also the first time I was able to see the signs in person.
During the conference I also got interviewed by BBC Radio Cornwall.

BUT
this campaign didn't end with just one run. it also got bought by two other institutions including the Falmouth and Exeter Students Union. With these versions we decided to update the artwork slightly and change the QR code to a dynamic one so that after these have finished running they can be reused and rented out by other institutions across the country for a much cheaper price then if you were to pay printing again. Making this campaign more accessible, and hopefully continuing to spearhead the change.
